King Bolete ... not what you think

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I love foraging for wild mushrooms for their nutritional and medicinal properties. There are so many amazing fungus popping up all over this time of year. Be sure to know what you're picking or ask an expert. I was beyond thrilled to find King Boletus recently. Boletus are excellent when dried and then powdered and added to soups, stocks, scrambled eggs - just about anything! Their flavour is outstanding!
